National Lampoon at Slamdance

Snatched is the story of Frank Baum, an ex-jock, sportscaster and man’s man (Andrew McCarthy), who agrees to donate an organ to a seriously ill relative, only to have the surgical procedure go disastrously wrong.  Instead of donating his kidney, Frank gives up another organ entirely. He is the unwitting recipient of a sex change operation. Frank’s manhood has been snatched! Forced to deal with a crackpot doctor who must approve his gender re-reassignment, the “sensitivity” of his poker group, a young hotshot sports anchor with designs on his job and the dismay of his girlfriend, Frank finally comes to terms with his predicament through the help of a transgendered support group and the timeless wisdom of his Dad. In so doing, it becomes clear to Frank that being a male does not make you a man.
