We accept films in every genre, on any topic from every country around the world. Our mission is to bring attention to the most talented emerging filmmakers, showcasing their work in the media frenzy of festival week in Park City, Utah. I'm curious whether the person who puts together the "News from Nowhere" emails is one of the readers. I hate to sound snobby, but it really doesn't inspire confidence in a writing competition when the competition's announcements have lots of grammatical errors. It suggests carelessness and lack of attention to detail at best, and ignorance at worst.
"From our Submissions Manager Summre Gaston comes monthly updates and advice on the world of writing competition's, [sic] including our own. Frank, no nonsense words of wisdom on what to expect and what not to when you want to compete and allow reader's [sic] to critique your written work."
Ugh....
