Warstory

The footage that eventually became Rock Pockets was intended to be a music video for Canadian band The Vertical Struts.... but then the band broke up. I was moaning about how I had shot all these images for nothing, when a smart friend said, "Why don't you just throw a voiceover on it and call it a documentary?"

Bio - Trevor Anderson

Trevor Anderson is a self-taught filmmaker, an award-winning theatre artist, and a rock 'n' roll musician in Canadian band The Wet Secrets. He won the inaugural Lindalee Tracey Award at the 2007 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival in Toronto, presented to an emerging Canadian filmmaker working with passion, humour, a strong sense of social justice and a personal point of view.
