Warstory

WAR STORY: The shoot for "Peeling It Off" lasted 18 hours over a 24-hour period, with a 6 hour break between shooting at the shop location and the basement location. We had spent the week before converting an empty storefront in Lincoln Square to the Janey Juice fruit smoothie shop; apparently we did a pretty good job, because our shoot kept being interrupted by people stopping by very excited to get a fruit smoothie. One girl showed up at 8am- she had taken a cab from her apartment to the location so that she could grab a smoothie before work. When we explained that we were actually shooting a film and that this wasn't really a fruit smoothie shop, she burst into tears. Finally, after a ridiculous amount of interruptions by thirsty consumers, we had to put up signs that read "Film Shoot, not Fruit Smoothie Shop. Sorry."
